St. Mary's Catholic Daughters J.F.K. Court 1907
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women and John F. Kennedy Court 1907 was first organized in 1963. Our motto is "Unity and Charity."
In keeping with this motto, St. Mary’s Catholic Daughters come together for fellowship and prayer. We offer opportunities for spiritual growth through a variety of activities such as the recitation of the rosary, socials, volunteer opportunities, and service projects.
We strive to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness. Money raised through our fundraisers is donated to local, state and national charities. We support the youth of St. Mary’s School and Parish through donations of time and money and by providing scholarships to those seeking post-high school education. We also work with other parish organizations on combined projects to encourage a variety of activities that include family involvement and build unity within our church community.
Catholic Daughters sell Mass cards in support of the Texas Memorial Scholarship program. A Mass card can be for a family member who is sick or has died or just to say I am thinking of you. The cost is $2.50 per card and please call Donna Durst at 830-992-1015 for more information.
Our meetings are held on the first Monday of each month beginning with a meal and social at 6:00 pm, followed by a meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Holy Family Center. Any Catholic woman age 18 or older is invited to attend or to join. Dues are $30 per year from January through December. We pray the rosary at 6 p.m. every Wednesday night in the little church (Marienkirche).
