Bible Study: Winter 2023
January 9 – April 10, 2023
Seek Wisdom and Increase Your Sense of Peace
There are so many voices telling us where to go and how to live our lives. There are constant demands on our time and our energy. At any given moment, we have dozens of paths we can take, and we feel pulled in so many different directions. In the midst of making choices constantly, where do we find peace? Is it even possible?
Could you use more wisdom in your decision-making? Do you ever wonder how to grow in wisdom? In everything from friendships to finances to decision-making, Scripture and the Tradition of the Catholic Church provide an abundance of wisdom and offers a vision for happiness and well-being, though it can often be challenging to apply it to our lives. In this study, we will examine biblical wisdom as it relates to daily life. Drawing on the wisdom literature of the Bible—Proverbs, Wisdom, Sirach, and Ecclesiastes—Wisdom: God’s Vision for Life will teach you how to actively seek sound guidance and increase your sense of peace in navigating life and to experience the transforming power of taking time to apply God’s wisdom to your own life. You will learn to see with his vision. You will experience the peace of knowing God cares for you, and you will see how God—and only God—can show you a path through any circumstance.
Scripture’s wisdom on decision-making, finances, relationships, peace of mind, and speaking to one another and will look at the beauty of wisdom gained through age and at how Christ himself is the embodiment and fulfillment of all wisdom.
Using Wisdom: God’s Vision for Life, you will learn how to gather, gain, and grow in wisdom, and you will experience the peace it brings to your life.
