The St. Mary's Parish Holy Family Center stands just to the west of St. Mary's Church and is connected to the church with an enclosed corridor.
Consistent with the beauty and symbolism of the existing church buildings, the new Holy Family Center expresses the Catholic faith through architecture. Some of the more prominent of these examples include the building’s main entrance which is formed by three large arched openings symbolizing the Holy Trinity. Other examples include the connector between the Parish Center and the ”new” church which is flanked with seven gothic arches on each of its two exterior walls; the number seven of course mentioned hundreds of times in the bible symbolizing perfection.
Also the main assembly /meeting room space which is flanked on the east and west sides with twelve arched openings commemorates the twelve Apostles. On a larger scale and perhaps less noticeable is the cruciform shape of the building which is taken in part from the Marienkirche.
