A parish pastoral council is composed of members of the parish who form one body with the pastor. The Christian faithful share their collective wisdom, gained through life experience. They share responsibility with the pastor for the spiritual and material growth and well-being of the parish. The Pastoral Council is consultative to the pastor. Consultation by its very definition means to be open and seek the wisdom of; ask the advice of a person or group in order to reach consensus decisions.
