Prayer Line

“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”  Matthew  18:19.

 

A group of women came back from the first Women’s ACTS Retreat in September of 1999 and they started a Monday morning sharing of their faith using the readings for the coming Sunday.   At some point, the idea of a prayer line was discussed and Sister Lucille Fritsch offered to get it started.  It started out with a small group of women using the Faith Formation phone number.  In 2004, when Sister Lucille Fritsch left St. Mary’s Church, she asked Diane Reeh if she would take it over.  Diane moved the number to her home phone and got everybody’s email address. 

 

Volunteers pray for the person for 30 days.  All prayer requests are confidential.  It helps if you keep a notebook with the prayer requests in them, then when you pray you can remember their name.   Everybody prays in their own kind of way so why not pray for someone.  What a wonderful way to continue your faith journey.  Jesus is listening to us when we pray, we have had many miracles happen on this prayer line.
